The Great Rabbit Rescue By Katie Davies |
This story is about Joe-Down-The-Road, who went away to live with his dad in his shed. Before he left, Joe's rabbit died of fright when Miss Rothington's cat Lilly scared him. Joe got a new rabbit but he could not take it with him so Suzanne, Anna and Tom had to look after it! Suzanne, Anna and Tom were Joe's best friends and they missed him when he went away. He didn't want to stay with his dad. His dad said "You are staying because you need to spend time with me". Joe went to a new school but he didn't like it. He wanted to go home. When he was at his Dad's shed he became sick and so did his new rabbit. When he came home to his Mum's house he felt better and so did the new rabbit. Suzanne, Anna and Tom were sure that Joe and the new rabbit got sick because they missed each other. Could this be true? Would Joe and hte new rabbit need to get rescued?

Milo and the Restart Button By Alan Silberberg |
In his first novel, Alan Silberberg has presented a beautifully written, engaging story of a boy's journey through life. Alan Silberberg, the writer of "Milo and the Restart Button" was raised in a white house in Worcester Massachusetts. His father worked in plastics whilst his mother stayed home to mind the children. Alan loved reading as a little boy, and since then has written a novel. Along with his talent, Alan is a cartoonist and illustrates his own books. Alan at one stage was writing television shows for Disney, surprisingly, one of them was aired on television. The other, unfortunately was not accepted. Alan is now married and has a young boy.
"Milo and the Restart Button" is about a 13 year olds journey through life's obstacles. In this heart touching book, a young boy has moved to his fifth house. In the last house the 'Fog House', Milo's mum miserably dies, caused by a brain tumour. First it started with the bad headaches, then the throwing up every week. One week they took her to the doctors for a check up, the doctor said it was a brain tumour. From then, she was in hospital until the day she died. Milo needs to get through life before the fog comes in and takes over. To help and accompany Milo are his two friends: Hillary and Marshall. Hillary is one of a kind; she introduces herself at school between classes. They got to kno weach other more because Hillary kept hiding notes in his locker. Marshall, on the other hand, has the nickname of 'one-eyed Jack'. When it comes to video games, Marshall is always there. Marshall introduces himself at the Pit Stop (Petrol Station). Marshall bought Milo a drink and they started talking. Until Milo's eyes cast over to Summer Goodman. He first saw Summer at the Pit Stop, and thereforward fell in love. Milo has an older sister and a father.
This fantastic book has inspired me, and hopfully everyone who reads it.

Doctor Proctor's Fart Powder By Jo Nesbo |
This book was written by Jo Nesbo. It's about a boy named Nilly who moves into a new neighbourhood where he meets Doctor Proctor and a girl named Lisa. Doctor Proctor invents a fart powder and a fartanout powder, strong enough to blast a human into space. They have lots of adventures caused by the fart powder. Some of them are so funny they would make you laugh out loud. My favourite part is when they start talking about what to do with the powder.
I would give it five stars and recommend anyone to read it.
