Indy’s Bookshelf Confession
If you know Indy, you know her shelves are usually packed with fantasy, sci-fi, YA and middle grade adventures. Crime fiction? Not so much.
So imagine our surprise when The Ending Writes Itself found its way into her hands... and she loved it.
The twist? "Evelyn Clarke" is actually @veschwab in disguise, one of Indy’s all-time favourite authors. Turns out even the most dedicated fantasy reader can be lured into unfamiliar territory when a beloved author is involved.
Will we be spotting more crime novels on Indy’s shelf anytime soon? Probably not. But this one definitely earned its place.
Have you ever read outside your usual genre because of a favourite author? What`s your bookshop confession?

Lovesick by @lilliantelford_author the must read 2026 Australian debut dissecting modern love at its most intense, messy and unforgettable.
For readers of Jacqueline Maley, Coco Mellors and Diana Reid, this is raw and honest portrait of modern relationships that hits hard and lingers after the last page. We can’t wait to get it into our readers hands.

Perfect for the pre-reader and early learner, My First BANANAGRAMS utilises lowercase letters that help children grow a love for word games and wordplay, and aligns perfectly with reading curriculums.
Also included are combo-letter word building tiles, which are the first step in word creation.
With multiple mini games, My First BANANAGRAMS creates a step-by-step play-progression towards ultimately learning how to play a full game of BANANAGRAMS.

If you loved Once I Was a Giant you’ll enjoy Fish Don’t Hop by @jojoleslie
Both books gently explore transformation and discovery through the eyes of a child, using nature as a way to understand change, growth, and difference. They share a warm, curious tone where everyday moments in nature open up bigger ideas about how we adapt and see the world.
And even better j@jojoleslie will be in-store these school holidays for a special story time!
It’s a free event, but bookings are essential.
